La solicitud se presenta en el formulario oficial de asignación de NIE —el modelo EX-15— acompañada del pasaporte en vigor y de una copia completa de este. La tasa se abona con el modelo 790, código 012, normalmente en una entidad bancaria, y el justificante se une al expediente.\u003C\u002Fp>\u003Cp>La pieza que más expedientes tumba es la tercera: hay que acreditar la causa que justifica la asignación, es decir, el interés económico, profesional o social que le relaciona con España. En una compra, eso se cubre con el documento de reserva, el contrato privado, una nota de la promotora o la convocatoria de la notaría. Un documento que no diga su nombre y la finca concreta vale poco.\u003C\u002Fp>\u003Cp>Formularios y tasas se revisan cada cierto tiempo: descárguelos de la sede electrónica el mismo mes en que vaya a presentarlos, no de un hilo de foro.\u003C\u002Fp>\u003Ch2 id=\"sin-viajar\">Pedirlo sin viajar: poder y representante\u003C\u002Fh2>\u003Cp>Si delega el trámite, el poder es el documento que decide si funciona. Tiene que estar otorgado ante notario y recoger expresamente la facultad de solicitar el NIE y de recoger el certificado; un poder general para comprar no siempre lo incluye, y la oficina no interpreta.\u003C\u002Fp>\u003Cp>Un poder firmado fuera de España necesita, además, Apostilla de La Haya —o legalización, si el país no es parte del Convenio— y traducción jurada al español.
